David Elias was born in Mountain Lake, Minnesota.  He grew up in Hillsboro, Kansas and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada when he was seventeen.  It was there that he met Kathy, a native of Winnipeg.  In May of 1985 Dave & Kathy were married.  They moved to Mazatlan, Mexico in 1991 and to the rural village of Cofradia de Cuyutlan, Nayarit, Mexico in 1995.  They have one son, Jonathan David, who was born March 7th, 1997.  Together, Dave & Kathy head up the church planting team in rural Nayarit, Mexico.

Dave’s Mexican nickname is ‘Mil Usos’ which translated means ‘A Thousand Uses.’  He is a hobby auto mechanic, plumber, electrician, mason, welder, first aid worker, etc.  While he enjoys spending time doing any one of these things, his call is to reach the lost, train them up in the Lord and send them out to reach the world for Christ.

Kathy is an administrator, home-school mom and hobby photographer.  She has a heart for the children of Cofradia and does a great job with the Sunday School.

Jonathan’s favorite things are looking for adventures, video games, and playing with his close friends Jose Jesus and Guillermo.
